A Blast From the Past (for those of us old enough to remember!)

I loved my "Baby Doll" pajamas!

These?  Not so much!

Alfalfa?

Yep!  Mrs. Jackman's first grade!

Gramma's ice tea - at the backyard picnic!
Teeth clinking on metal - Yum!

Keeping track of business!
Evidently at the kitchen table!

Had a few family photos taken with a camera like this.
"Poopsie" the dog may have been in one or two of them.

Dad? Cindy?  Have any personal
experience with one of these?

These are still good today!

Didn't use, but remember the commercial well!

Yep!  These were our "Official" football cheer leading
shoes - worn with our knee socks!

These were always fun and challenging!

Yes, I kept one of these for about a week!

Yahoo for "Bobby Pins" and "Pin Curls!"

Oh My!  The memories of the smell of this product after
mother helped save a friend money by completing the
"home perm" in OUR HOUSE!  More than once!

Yes!  Nothing beat the comfort of sitting through
an hour of cartoons and then another two hours for
the feature movie in these "cozy" seats.

This is exactly how Dr. Paulsen pierced my ears.
I had to wait until I turned fourteen years old
to enjoy this rebellious act!

Only Gram's was yellow!

Ooooooh!  Evening in Paris!
The closest we got to world travel!

In our world - this WAS the equivalent to
today's video games!

Our neighbors enjoyed trees like this - usually with a red, blue,
green, and yellow rotating light changing its color every few seconds!
So sad that we had to endure "real" live,
evergreen scented trees!

Sock Hops!  Awesome!
No "PDA" at these dances!

Always fun to play with in our grandparents house!

Dad?  How many of these did we own?

The "Soda Fountain!"
Someone in the family was even a "Soda Jerk!"

Some people collected these - but we used them to
play 45's on our "Stereo!"

Yes!  Unfortunately, this was the bra most women/girls wore.
Is anyone really built like this?  Torpedoes?  And that cotton with the
circular stitching DIDN'T stretch or have any give at all!
Oh yes, I was thrilled when cousin Carol sent me her "outgrown" bras.
They looked just like this.  A little tissue helped fill (point) them out!

Mayberry, USA - Is that the Barn?

Very comfortable!  Not!

Dick and Jane
And Spot!

Back when cloth diapers needed pins!
It was fun rinsing all of those diapers out in the cold
toilet water!

Who didn't love roller skating?

Ahhhhh!  A night at the drive in movies! First, play on the
playground underneath the big screen.  Then, eat junk food from
the concession while watching the first feature.  Finally, sleep through
the second feature because it was inappropriate for the youngsters.
I think the title was "Posse to the Dickens (Hell)."  Dad would
never swear in front of the kids!

Pinball Machines!

Hey, I still own one of these!
Turtles make great pets!
So friendly!

Not sure this "relic" was still functioning!

Yep!  These were fun to rinse out, too!
They sometimes protected and caught any
loose matter!

One of the best parts of the show!

Much better than the former hose!
And the eggs could be later used for
the big "Easter Egg" hunt in Huntington!
Right, Becky?
Oops!  Now the kids know :-(

Another artifact from elementary school!

Made these by the dozen.  Great Christmas gift!
Still use them!  Very durable!

This was so handy to have at Sandbar!
Relaxing - with tunes - at the beach!

Think we enjoyed one of these in our home!
Maybe Paul brought it in?  Probably traded it
for something?

A staple in our home!
It doubled as a "portable"hair dryer, too!

Cindy?  Did you own one of these?
Very stylish!

Individual Booth Juke Box!

I think we were totally impressed that our
neighbors got colored chicks every Easter!
Eeeeewww!  Poor Chicks!

The "kids" loved decorating the Christmas Tree,
especially when it came to putting on the tinsel!
Looks pretty nice, huh?
Hey, is there a tree under there?

Mother and Gram wore this one!!!  I believe!

Good old Tinker Toys!

Still a "fav" game!
