Some Aidan Summer Photos!

Chasing bubbles with a friend is always fun!

A few more pics from "Race for Sundaes!"

Rain and Puddle Fun!

And the play structure is still fun!

Especially the twirly tire swing!
(Aidan only got sick once...and went right back on!)

Finally, of on a road trip!

The neighbors loaned Aidan their little
motorized John Deere for the weekend.  He
sped all around the yard with it. 1st gear, 2nd gear,
and reverse!

Fun to be towed by daddy in the chariot,
especially when you can bring a friend!

Ne ws From Abroad: Chapter 8

Last day of Céline's camp, then we headed out for our 2 week road-trip
vacation! First was a long drive to Le Mans, France. It took about 6 1/2 hours,
but some of that was due to the mess of roads around Paris (should have taken
a different route). When we arrived at Le Mans we had a lovely evening and typical
French dinner (at least 5 courses) with Jill's extended host family. Hot here, over 90
and the place we are staying the next couple nights has no AC, and has a cat
and no screens so the windows have to stay closed. Oh boy!

Highlight of drive; saw Lamborghini on transport truck!

Followed by several Ferraris, some Porsches (including
a GT3), and a couple of Fords (?), in total, over $1m of cars!

Playing with a new friend in Le Mans!

Nice evening and dinner with Jill's host family (from when
she was an exchange student).

 New friend!

New From Abroad: Chapter 7

This afternoon we went to Lessines to visit the Hôpital Notre-Dame à la Rose
which is an ancient public hospital founded in the 13th century.
Lovely flower gardens and interesting exhibits, though Alix wanted to touch everything!
Tomorrow we start our real vacation with a drive to Le Mans, France, in the afternoon!

Lovely flowers and a lovely girl!

Okay, two lovely girls!

Checking out a bee!

More flowers!

And more...

Cupola on the hospital!

Vanna White showcasing one of the monuments!

Checking out the old hospital frig, and on a 90° plus degree day,
it was nice in there!

Céline's strange tree!

Founded in 1242 (by a lady named Alix!)  Don't find
that in the US!

Plague mask!

This patient needs a wheelchair!

Relaxing with the tablet back at the house!

Another Friends at the Lake Day!

In between rain drops, the lake has been fun.

Kate and Danica came to the lake
with Eli and Brady again.  They had
to try out the dock.  They tethered their
tubes to the dock and pulled themselves in.
Eli and Kate are out in the raft.

What's Aidan up to?

Building Structures!
Had to use every last block!

Eating Popsicles in his "pup" tent with Bompi!

Sitting on the "hot seat" riding around Costco!
"Tushy tishy" makes a great seat!

News From Abroad: Chapter 6

Today was Céline's first morning of camp, she had fun and met
two new friends. In the afternoon it was very hot, so we decided
to go for a drive to find some interesting stuff. We were only partially
successful, but we did see Le Blanc Moulin d'Ostiches and a very
interesting Mausoleum (Le Mausolée de Clémentine d'Oultremont).
